Tripod is a technology tool that allows users to build websites and blogs. I love its templates and pre-linked pages which make creating a website easy and fun. Special features include icons at bottom of page for many commands including attaching or changing an image on a page, an icon for audio and video option, and icons for managing your pages and website. This is my favorite web page creator because of its simple instructions and its powerful commands.

iKeepbookmarks
iKeepBookmarks is designed to save all your favorite websites to a central location on the web. Users do not need to write down a list of their favorite sites using pen, pencils, or other writing instruments. iKeepbookmarks works just like the Internet Explorer "Favorite," or "Bookmark" from Netscape Naviagtor. It is easy and simple to use. The special feature of saving websites to a central location on the web allows users to share their favorite websites with friends, colleagues, and others.

Firefox
Firefox is a web browser that is faster, safer, and easier than Internet Explorer. It includes built-in controls to block pop-ups. Special features include tab browsing which lets you open several web pages within a single browser window, and runs on a variety of Windows operating systems, including Windows 98 through XP, as well as on Mac OS X and several varieties of Linux, including Red Hat Linux 8.0. Using Firefox for the first time this semester made it very easy for me to do many things at one time.

Yahoo Briefcase
Yahoo Briefcase is a free storage hard drive which allows users to store their photos and documents in folders that can be shared privately or publicly. Users can have easy access to their folders from any computer with internet acess. This feature makes it easy for those who don't have computers at their homes just yet. A special feature includes integration with other Yahoo services such as saving email attachments directly to the briefcase. I used this tool in one of my lesson plans that required cooperative learning. I like the idea that team members can easily have accesss to their shared folders using Yahoo Briefcase.
